Tips for Daily and Extended Wear Hair System Attachment

After you've learned the basics of hairpiece tape and liquid bonding hairpiece adhesives, it's time to use what you know and attach your hair system.

The first thing you have to decide is how you like to wear the unit. Are you a daily or extended hair wearer? What's the difference you ask? Well...

Daily Wear - You take your system off everyday or every few days, but you never leave it on for more than 1 week at a time. If this sounds like you, get tips on how to best attach your unit for daily wear here...
Extended Wear - You leave your system on for at least 1 week at a time, maybe even as long as a month before taking it off for re-attachment. If you're an extended hair wearer, get helpful bonding tips here...

Do you wear your hair system for more than 4 weeks at a time?

Although it's rare for a hair wearer to keep his system on for more than 4 weeks at a time, we do see it happen occasionally. We highly recommend NOT wearing the unit for this long without taking it off. The extra build-up of hairpiece tape or adhesives on the unit could erode and damage the hairpiece, this also makes it more difficult to clean.

Also, during the course of a month, the hair on your scalp will grow a little bit and dirt and sweat will begin to collect under the system. This is not very hygienic and might actually begin to smell as well as become uncomfortable to wear.
